THE RIGHT TO DECIDE IS A MESS

Andrés Oppenheimer one of the 50 more influential Latin American intellectuals has decided to put the focus in something so far from the daily political affray as the education of quality and the innovation. Long Luz to know toward where it aims the future and how we need to get ready to confront it. I have realized that the destination of our countries, and I am speaking of Latin America and also of Spain, it won't depend of who it wins the next elections neither of if so-and-so has answered I don't know what to the so-and-so declarations, but that we decide if we enter of full, or not, in the new world of the economy of the knowledge. 

It is evident that with these reflections Oppenheimer returns the power of decision to the common society and it raises to the politics to possibly be a simple administrative organization like in the whole half point it is the fair balance. In today's world, the countries that more they have advanced in the last decades they have very different ideologies. China is a communist dictatorship, Singapore it is a dictatorship of right, India is a democracy of left, Finland is a democracy of right and left, Israel is a similar democracy. The only thing that you/they have these countries in common is that all, in some moment, decided to transform the education of quality and the innovation into a national obsession.  

Spain registered the last year 863 international patents. South Korea, an Asian small country that half century ago was poorer than the poorest county in Spain, it registered 18.000 patents, the same ones that Germany. United States arrived at 159.000. All Latin America joins it added 1.200 patents. We cannot reduce this way the poverty neither prosperous being, but it is that also something happens to the Spanish culture because it is very curious to see that the non-alone problem is exclusive of Spain (that that they invent) but rather you has taken root and deepened in the whole Hispanic culture  

I have already repeated many times that Spain won't grow if it doesn't bet for the innovation. We will be able to export many hams, but alone with that we won't conquer to the unemployment, alone we will be able to have more pigs, the Spanish politicians refuse to see this reality maybe it is because their own culture is very poor or rather very old and they are unable to understand the evolution of the economic world and of the current productivity. 

Today the manual work is worth less and less and the intellectual, more. Kodak left to the crash with 140.000 used by not spending to the digital picture. That same year, Instagram, with single 13 employees, era sold by a thousand million dollars. Apple is worth today 720.000 million dollars, more than the GDP of several Latin American countries together, this it is the world that is already here. 

Certainly it is very difficult to implant these ideas in the Spanish mentality in a country where their political leaders don't change and they continue governing to the nation with the spirit that “the generalissimo Franco” accent wandering for Spain. For the Spanish politicians the good thing is the immobility that everything continues equally still appeased without adventures without hurries without outrages without ideas without ambition none for if they had some alone doubt it is necessary to read Rodríguez's Zapatero last declarations the I finish socialist ex-president of Spain this socialist that I take to Spain to the disaster that we even crawl today he has said that "the right to decide is a mess." 

This not frames also the Spanish political thought that of the socialism that of the PP and the Spanish right because both sides think equally it is clear and this is what is reflected in strolling miserable and without force of the Spanish politics. The country stops this way and he gives way in hands of the general economic current and if this he goes well Spain he says that "Spain goes well", without seeing that in fact, “Spain doesn't GO” and the worst thing is that with this attitude it will be very difficult that at some time works.
