MADRID (Reuters) - The parties independents of Catalonia agreed on Saturday
to name a new leader, clearing the road for the creation of a regional
government and increasing the pressure on the national parties in Madrid to
form a wide coalition that opposes you to the challenge separatist.
The Catalan independent agreed that they will support the mayor of Gerona,
Carles Puigdemont, a fervent separatist, in a voting that will be carried out
on Sunday, after the president in functions of the richest region in Spain,
Artur Mas, he announced that he will open the way to the side in an intent to
break months of political stagnation.
The measure that takes place three weeks after an election at national
level didn't throw a winning clearing, the pressure increases on the
Government's conservative president, Mariano Rajoy, and its socialist rivals
that now will look for to leave its differences behind to form a great
coalition to the German style, which allows to brake the intents Catalan
independents.
The politicians from Catalonia have been unable to form a Government from
the regional elections of September due to disagreements among the parties’
independents that have a majority in the Catalan Parliament. Most of the
inhabitants from Catalonia, a region of 7,5 million people with their own
language and culture, they want to continue being part of Spain, but with a
bigger autonomy in topics as taxes, according to opinion surveys. Catalonia
almost represents a fifth part of the Spanish economic production.
Luck that we have the agencies of news and information of Madrid so that we
can the Catalan to find out what we want, as we will make it and that they will
make from Madrid to avoid it, it is evident that the centralist concept of
Spain considers us yokels and ignorant until of our will because thanks to this
information that I have transcribed we have clear what we are what we want as
we want it and I eat we cannot make it.
